This book could not have come at a better time. While many, if not all of us, are dealing with the cacophony of modern life (social media, the onslaught of negative news, fractured relationships), this book offers a plan for relief and a chance at “reclaiming your soul.” Written in a week by week (6 of them) format, it illustrates segments of the collective malaise, and offers clever exercises for each week. Ms. Etessam’s writing style is pithy, cogent, with a kick-in-the-butt sense of humor. I highly recommend “Free to Be” to anyone trying to gain control over their life and emotions. It’s a worthwhile read.
